Corporate usernames can be accessed directly from Domino using SCOPIA iVIEW

Management Suite.

Conference resources can be scheduled in IBM Lotus Notes calendars of the

participants with iVIEW Management Suite, which also reserves the necessary

videoconferencing resources like MCUs and bandwidth. This ensures the call will have

the necessary resources reserved at the appointed time.

The iVIEW Suite Add-on is deployed on IBM Sametime servers. Deploying the add-on

does not affect IBM Sametime clients: they can initialize and receive audio and video

calls as usually.

DEPLOYING THE IVIEW SUITE ADD-ON ON

IBM COMPONENTS

IBM Sametime administrators must install a TCSPI adapter (iVIEW Add-on) to be

accessed when community users request audio/video features from the Sametime

Connect client or Meetings client.

PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION

Verify that IBM Sametime is deployed and configured correctly using technical

documentation provided by IBM.

Verify that the iVIEW Suite is installed and configured correctly. Refer to the

Installation Guide for iVIEW Suite version 7.7.

VERIFYING IBM SAMETIME CONNECTION

You verify that the IBM Sametime connection functions properly by verifying that the

Sametime client user can initiate and receive video calls.

PROVIDING CONNECTIVITY INFORMATION

You can configure the IBM Sametime client so that each time it sends out an invitation

it comes with the preconfigured explanation necessary for joining the meeting.

The administrator prepares the text of the explanation and sends it out to all Sametime

users. The users must copy this text into the Service Provider page of their IBM

Sametime client as explained in this section. See an example of the explanatory text

below.

Replace the Gateway list with a list of available gateways configured in the iVIEW

Suite. Log in to the iVIEW Suite as an administrator and browse to Admin > Resource

Management > Gateway where you can find the list of all the available gateways.

Replace the SDS URL with the actual SCOPIA Desktop Server URL.

Replace the text in blue according to real deployment information, and then send this

template to all Sametime client users.

The procedure below shows how to copy the connectivity information into the IBM

Sametime client settings.

 Procedure

1. Open the IBM Sametime client.

2. Select File > Preferences > Voice and Video > Service Providers.

3. Copy the explanatory text from the email.

4. Paste the text into the Conference Information field.

5. Select OK.

SECURING YOUR DEPLOYMENT

You can secure your IBM-RADVISION deployment using either the TLS or SRTP protocol.

Please note that this feature is available only when working with RADVISION SCOPIA Elite

MCU. It is not supported by RADVISION SCOPIA MCU.

When a deployment is secured using the TLS protocol, the TLS connection between the IBM

Sametime Media Server and the iVIEW Management Suite is established: both components

exchange their certificates for mutual authentication.

The authentication is performed in these steps in the order they appear in the list below:

1. Generating the Certificate Signing Request (CSR) for iVIEW Suite.*

2. Generating CSRs for the IBM Sametime Media Server.

3. Generating the CSR for the SCOPIA Elite MCU. **

4. Ensuring that you have the root certificate of the certificate authority your organization

uses.*

This root certificate is used for importing signed certificates into iVIEW Management Suite

and other components.

5. Uploading iVIEW Management Suite certificates into iVIEW Management Suite.*

6. Uploading SCOPIA Elite MCU certificates into iVIEW Management Suite.*

7. Uploading certificates for the iVIEW Management Suite into the IBM Sametime Media

Server.

Enabling TLS Connection Between iVIEW Suite and IBM Sametime Media

Server

 Procedure

1. Verify that the sds.keystore file is in this location on the IBM Sametime Server:

$\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\

$MediaPNProfile1 \sametime_tcspi subdirectory

3. Enable the TLS connection on the iVIEW Suite:

a. On the iVIEW Suite server, navigate to

$iVIEW Suite\iCM\jboss\bin\

b. Open the vcs-core.properties file in Notepad.

c. Add this line at the bottom:

com.radvision.tcspi.tls=true

d. Save the file and close it.

4. Configure the TLS connection on the IBM Sametime Media Server:

a. On the IBM Sametime Media Server, navigate to

$Sametime_Home\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\profiles\sametime3STMSPNProfile

sametime_tcspi\

b. Open the rv-tcspi-adapter.properties file in Notepad.

c. Add this line at the bottom:

com.radvision.tcspi.tls=true

d. Save the file and close it.

5. Restart the iVIEW Suite server.

6. Restart the IBM Sametime Media Server.
